![]() Day Treatment ProgramThe Day Treatment Program at NC Neuropsychiatry is an outpatient program designed to provide supportive and personalized treatment for individuals with acquired brain injury and/or persistent mental illness, with the goal of improving physical, social, cognitive, and emotional functioning in the home and community. Patients involved in the NCN Day Treatment Program will receive intensive treatment for several hours a day, 2-4 days per week in either our Charlotte, Chapel Hill or Raleigh office. Multidisciplinary treatment focuses include:
Case ManagementEach participant in the NC Neuropsychiatry Day Treatment Program will be assigned to a case manager. Case management services include but are not limited to: establishing overall goals for individual and family functioning, providing education and assistance in vocational and rehabilitation community integration; and coordinating services among community providers (including financial assistance and consultation, transportation, disability supports, household management assistance, etc.). Admission CriteriaPatient must have a brain injury secondary to trauma, stroke or disease OR have a persistent mental illness that significantly impacts independent functioning in vocational, social, or family interactions. |
