![]() TreatmentsOur staff at NC Neuropsych includes doctors and practitioners with extensive experience treating neurological and psychiatric conditions in children and adults. Medication review is a typical part of our clinical evaluations. We also regularly provide medication consultation and treatment, depending on the needs of the patient. In some cases (e.g., ADHD) we can provide a test dose of medication with brief testing before and after to determine the extent to which individuals benefit from medication. Life Skills GroupTarget Population: Adult women suffering from a mood disorder, anxiety, or borderline personality disorder. This program is modeled after a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group and all of the four modules in a typical DBT skills training group will be included. This includes mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation skills. In addition, a problem solving module is taught. This will be an open group and patients can enter on a continuing basis. This is typically at the start of a new treatment module cycle and decided upon by the psychologist. Date and time: Tuesdays from 4:00 till 5:00 p.m. |
